PU Foam and PU Leather ESD Lab Chairs (Standard Height)
PU foam and PU leather ESD laboratory chairs serve standard-height bench environments where anti-static protection is required, but the specification emphasis shifts toward comfort and material practicality rather than full ergonomic adjustment. Within this category, the key distinctions are budget tier, chemical resistance, and whether armrests are required. For any project involving tall-bench configurations, this category is the correct specification. Do not attempt to substitute a standard-height chair or stool where the bench height falls outside the standard adjustment range.

The three models vary by base material and seat surface: JH-LS008 uses a contoured PU foam seat with an aluminum base; JH-LS006 uses a PU foam seat with a heavier-duty steel base; JH-LS004 uses PU leather for environments where seat surface cleanability is a routine requirement. Standard-Height ESD Stools
ESD lab stools serve anti-static environments where a backless or short-back seating configuration is preferred or required. Fixed-height configurations are often preferred in teaching laboratory environments where stools need to match fixed bench heights and where height-adjustable mechanisms introduce maintenance complexity. PP (polypropylene) seats provide a robust, chemically resistant, and easy-clean surface appropriate for secondary school chemistry and biology laboratory use. 304 Stainless Steel Lab Stool

How to Choose the Right Lab Chair or Stool
Six decisions determine which Glorylab chair or stool is the correct specification for a given installation. Work through them in order.
Confirm whether the installation involves a standard-height laboratory bench or an elevated tall-bench configuration. Standard-height chairs and stools (JH-LS038, JH-LS036 chair, JH-LS035, JH-LS029, JH-LS037, JH-LS015, JH-LS001, JH-LS021, JH-LS019, JH-LS034) are suited to conventional desk-height benching. Tall-bench chairs and stools (JH-LS031, JH-LS014, JH-LS017, JH-LS008, JH-LS006, JH-LS004) are required for elevated bench, standing-height, or instrumentation platform configurations. Specifying a standard-height model for a tall bench — or vice versa — results in a seating height that cannot be adjusted to the correct working position.
If the environment requires anti-static protection — electronics assembly, pharmaceutical production, cleanroom work, or any application with documented ESD risk — specify a model with conductive seating materials (surface resistance 10³–10⁹ ohms). For environments where hygiene and disinfection compatibility are the primary drivers — clinical, pharmaceutical, food science, or washdown environments — specify 304 stainless steel (JH-LS036 chair, JH-LS034 stool) or PU leather (JH-LS029, JH-LS004) rather than PU foam. PU foam provides adequate cleanability for general laboratory use but is not appropriate where regular disinfection with clinical-grade agents is required across the full seat surface.
For dental operatories and clinical examination or procedure environments, the JH-LS037 clinical dental chair is the dedicated specification. A standard laboratory ESD chair is not an appropriate substitute in a clinical seating application — the seat geometry, backrest angle, and surface material of the JH-LS037 are configured specifically for clinical procedure positioning.

The foot ring gives your feet a stable resting point when they can’t reach the floor. On a tall-bench chair or stool, the seat sits well above standard height, so unsupported legs cause fatigue and poor circulation over a full shift. The ring solves that.
It is standard on all Glorylab tall-bench models (JH-LS031, JH-LS014, JH-LS017, JH-LS008, JH-LS006, JH-LS004). On standard-height seating it is not usually needed, though it can be added on request. If you’re specifying seating for an elevated bench, treat the foot ring as essential, not optional.

Decide based on whether users need to move and on your floor type. Choose casters when staff reposition frequently around the bench or between stations. Choose foot cups when you want the seat to stay put — common in cleanroom and controlled environments, where the JH-LS019 ships with foot cups as standard to limit particulate movement across the floor.
