What Are Lab Faucets and Why Do They Matter?
Laboratory faucets are purpose-built water delivery and control fittings designed to meet the specific demands of scientific, medical, and industrial laboratory environments. Unlike standard plumbing fixtures, lab faucets must withstand repeated chemical exposure, high-frequency daily use, precise flow-control requirements, and — in specialist applications — strict material purity standards.
The right faucet selection directly affects laboratory safety, workflow efficiency, and long-term maintenance costs. A fume hood water valve must operate safely without requiring the user to reach inside the enclosure. A distilled water faucet must use a fully metal-free fluid path to prevent ionic contamination. A bench-mounted mixer faucet in a teaching lab must deliver hundreds of thousands of operating cycles without failure.
Glorylab’s 14-model range is designed to address each of these requirements — matching the correct faucet specification to the correct application, every time.
Featured Product Models
1. Cold Water Single-Outlet Faucets
Cold water single-outlet faucets are the standard workhorse of the laboratory bench, providing reliable, controlled delivery of cold mains water at a single point. Glorylab offers two models in this category: a full-size bench faucet for standard laboratory use, and a compact version designed specifically for cup sink installations where space is limited.
2. Multi-Outlet Cold Water Faucets
For laboratory benches that require simultaneous water supply at more than one point — such as shared teaching benches, instrument wash stations, or multi-user research benches — Glorylab offers a range of double- and triple-outlet cold-water faucets. Models are available in brass and 304 stainless steel, with outlet configurations to suit both standard and hose-connected applications.
3. Hot-Cold Mixer Faucets
Where both hot and cold water are available at the bench, a mixer faucet allows the user to blend the supply to the required temperature at the point of use. Glorylab’s hot-cold mixer range covers four distinct configurations — from a standard two-knob mixer for general use, to high-pressure single-lever and low-profile models rated to 35 bar, and a deck-mounted single-outlet mixer for installations requiring a more integrated bench finish.
4. Specialist Faucets
Beyond standard cold water and hot-cold mixer configurations, certain laboratory environments require specialist water control solutions — including touchless sensor taps for hygiene-critical areas, fully metal-free faucets for distilled or deionized water systems, panel-mounted taps for service panels and backboards, and remotely operated water valves for fume hood safety. Glorylab’s specialist faucet range addresses each of these requirements directly, and these models are non-negotiable selections where their specific application conditions apply.
How to Choose the Right Lab Faucet
With 14 models spanning cold water, hot-cold, specialist, and remote-control configurations, selecting the right faucet for your application comes down to four key questions.
Start here. If you need cold mains water only, any model from the cold water single-outlet or multi-outlet range will apply. If your bench has both hot and cold supply, select from the hot-cold mixer range — and confirm your system pressure to determine whether a 10 bar or 35 bar rated model is appropriate. If you are supplying distilled or deionized water, the JH-WL011 is the only correct choice: its fully metal-free PP construction is essential to maintaining water purity and must not be substituted with a brass-body faucet.
A single-user bench position typically requires one outlet. Shared teaching benches, instrument wash stations, and multi-user island benches often benefit from double- or triple-outlet models, which deliver water to multiple points from a single deck penetration and a single supply connection. Consider both the number of simultaneous users and the number of equipment connections at each bench position.
Most Glorylab faucets are designed for standard deck mounting through a bench top surface. If your laboratory uses service panels, backboards, or wall-mounted service columns rather than bench-top fittings, select the JH-WL015 panel-mounted tap. If you are installing water supply into a fume hood, the JH-GF007 remote valve assembly is the appropriate solution — standard bench faucets should not be installed inside a fume hood enclosure.
Consider whether your environment requires touchless operation (select the JH-WL021 sensor tap), a metal-free fluid path for pure water (select the JH-WL011), panel-based distribution (select the JH-WL015), or remote fume hood water control (select the JH-GF007). These requirements are non-negotiable from a safety and contamination-control perspective, and the correct specialist model must be selected before considering other factors.
All five materials support custom dimensions, cutouts, and configurations. If your lab has non-standard bench depths, integrated sink requirements, or specific edge detailing, share your drawings with our engineering team before ordering.
If you are unsure which model best suits your application, Glorylab’s technical team can review your project requirements and provide a written recommendation before you place an order.

FAQs
Q1. What is the difference between the JH-WL005, JH-WL004, and JH-WL018 hot-cold mixer faucets?
All three models are rated to 35 bar and use ceramic cartridge mixer valves. The JH-WL005 is a standard riser-mounted single-lever mixer with a full-height gooseneck spout. The JH-WL004 is a low-profile version with a reduced body and spout height, suited to installations where bench clearance above the deck is limited. The JH-WL018 is a deck-mounted model with a lower-profile body that sits closer to the bench surface, preferred where a more integrated or recessed appearance is required.
Q2. Can the JH-WL011 distilled water faucet be used on standard cold mains water?
The JH-WL011 can physically convey cold mains water, but it is designed and rated for a maximum working pressure of 3 bar. Standard laboratory mains water pressure frequently exceeds this. Using the JH-WL011 on a standard mains supply without a pressure-reducing valve is not recommended. For standard cold water supply, select any of the brass-body cold water faucet models in the range.
Q3. What power supply options are available for the JH-WL021 sensor tap?
The JH-WL021 supports both AC mains power connection and DC battery supply. The appropriate power method will depend on whether a power outlet is accessible at the bench position. Both configurations are available and should be specified at the time of order.
Q4. How is the JH-GF007 fume hood water valve installed?
The JH-GF007 is a remote control component and is not a standalone faucet. It is installed as part of a complete fume hood water supply assembly that includes a matched water cock and a slow-opening safety needle valve. The control component is mounted externally on the fume hood enclosure or adjacent wall, allowing the user to open and close the water supply without reaching inside the hood. Full installation guidance and matched component specifications are provided with each order.
Q5. Are replacement cartridges and spare parts available after purchase?
Yes. Glorylab maintains replacement ceramic cartridges, handle components, and sealing elements for all current faucet models. Spare parts can be ordered directly from Glorylab or through your regional distributor. All current models use standardized cartridge formats to simplify maintenance and stocking.
Q6. Can Glorylab supply laboratory faucets alongside sinks, benches, and casework as part of a complete fit-out?
Yes. Glorylab manufactures laboratory sinks, pegboards, and laboratory furniture in addition to faucets and water valves. For full laboratory fit-out projects, our team can coordinate the specification and supply of faucets alongside compatible sink models, bench tops, and casework from a single factory-direct source. Contact our project team to discuss your requirements.
